Freyja is a majestic and very intuitive Pyrenees mix female who was rescued and cared for by a Good Samaritan family with a little girl who loves her. The vet thinks she will be two years old this spring, but she is one of those dogs with a "old soul". Freyja and the Border Collie at her foster home were in competition, so eventually we had to admit they were never going to "bond" . She is now at a new foster home in the country with small dogs and getting along well with them. She is very curious about the horse at this home, but has learned that the horse has no interest in playing with her! IN the country, she has also found her Pyr voice and barks at all the new creatures and sounds. Her foster has taken her all over the place and she does great in public. Freyja loves children and going on long walks. She is still at the age when she has lots of energy and needs training to contain all that happiness! But she is devoted to her people and is a great family dog.

The poor dog, in life the firmest friend. The first to welcome, foremost to defend.
